About the Event
Japanese knotweed (reynoutria japonica) is one of the worst invasive plant species in the US, crowding out native species. Knotweed control is a multi-step process and we will be taking the first step this summer by cutting back the plant before it can flower and release seeds. If you are interested in making an impact on our community's biodiversity and ecosystem spend a morning with us as we work to restore the Woods End property.
- Bring gloves and wear close-toed shoes. SLCT will provide tools.
- We will be social distancing and wearing masks!
