All are welcome to attend the public dedication ceremony for the Harry Day Preserve. This property, originally slated for development, now forms part of a contiguous 216-acre green space in North Stamford. The Mayor and other dignitaries will be joining us for the special moment. Come and enjoy!

About the Event
We are delighted to welcome the public to officially celebrate the opening of the Harry Day Preserve with the many dignitaries, donors, and volunteers who made this historic addition to Stamford's conserved spaces possible. The acquisition of the Harry Day Preserve was made possible with generous support from the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the City of Stamford, and private donors.
Visitors will find an extensive trail system for public recreation, off-street parking, and multiple entrance points from Riverbank Road, Den Road, and the Altschul Preserve. Additionally, the site holds historical significance, with an abandoned foundation dating back approximately 100 years.
Parking is available at Newman Mills Park for those with permits, and on Fawnfield Road (¼ mile south of the preserve entrance) with no permit required. We…
