About the Event

Help us plant native shrubs in the Harry Day Preserve! Get a jump start on Earth Day with SLCT Head Steward Aubrey Carter. Bring shovels and gloves (if you have them). Each volunteer will get a chance to help finish a project that was dear to President Emeritus John Stone.

Come back for nature walks this summer to admire the results of your work!

We'll meet at 11:30am at the entrance to Harry Day Preserve, and head into the SLCT’s newest preserve from there. Parking is available at Newman Mills Park for those with permits, and on Fawnfield Road (¼ mile south of the preserve entrance) with no permit required. If you arrive late to the event, please reach out to Aubrey.
