Land tells the story of America.

Historically, it shaped us as a people.

Today, it is the key to a healthy and secure future.

UPDATE ON THE PURCHASE OF 64 ACRES ADJACENT TO THE ALTSCHUL PRESERVE

Dear Members and Friends:

The City of Stamford recently received over $2 million from CT's Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program to acquire 65 acres of land next to the Altschul Preserve, just north of the Merrit Parkway. This money, combined with donations from a number of our members, will allow the Land Trust to make the purchase and preserve it as open space.

Acquisition of this property will create a combined open space domain of 245 acres — an important and most worthy achievement for the surrounding neighborhoods, as well as for the City of Stamford and our citizens.

Sincerely,

The Board of Directors
Stamford Land Conversation Trust
